Dorchester County Democratic Women'HOPE. ACTION, INTEGRITY, RESPECT'
8/12/2005 Bake Sale and Fundraising DinnerWe know you have been very busy this Summer, but we do need your input in the Dorchester County Democratic Women's group.
The Dorchester County Democratic Women's group is having a Bake Sale on Saturday, September 3 at the Summerville Farmer's Market from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We will be collecting goodies for the Bake Sale at the Food Lion on Central from 3 to 7 PM on Friday September 2. Our Bake Sale space is right next to the First Citizen's Bank behind Town Hall. The purpose is to raise funds to help offset the mailings for the Dorchester County Democratic Party with a Fundraising Dinner and Silent Auction similar to last year's event. The Dinner & Auction will be Saturday, Oct. 15 at 7:00 PM at the Holiday Inn Express next to I-26 in Summerville. You will be hearing more about this and receiving mailings.
We are asking your help on three things: Attending our meetings and giving us your thoughts, helping with the Bake Sale by donating goodies and/or money and asking you to attend the Dinner and Auction.

The meeting begins at 9:00 AM. Donation are $10 for adults, $5 for students. Candidate for Governor State Sen. Tommy Moore of Aiken will be the featured speaker. We Democrats must make a good showing. Remember the one thing that most of us have stated is that the Democrats in Dorchester County need to be visible. Well, here is our chance. We are going to wear our 'Support Democrats T-Shirts' for the parade on Saturday, April 16 at 11:00 AM. For those of you that do not have 'Support Democrats T-Shirts', we are asking you to wear Navy shirts or blouses and march with us. It will be a little less than a mile. For those of you that can't march, we are asking that you come to the parade and cheer the rest of us on of course we ask that you too wear navy blue shirts or blouses (or T-Shirts). Main St, Summerville. Entrance is via the Cedar St. side. All Democrats are invited to attend (guys too) Constance Anastopoulo will speak on Women in Politics and the Glass Ceiling. This is a carry over from March due to the stormy weather.
